John the GM, and his team Soy (please forgive me if I spelled his name wrong), who was very knowledgable, and gave me great advice, were all spectacular today. Along with the Assistant manager. Care, is the word. They took care of me. I needed more than just a simple oil change. A part needed to be ordered, and they jumped right on it. In a time such as now, when the world is changing so much, the service we all provide should not not go unoticed. Thank you Valvoline and your team. I do appreciate you all.

Fuel filters from this store don't last. Good thing our vehicle computers can communicate with us. The fuel filter from this store only lasted 4,000 miles vs. factory filter lasted 23,000 miles.

I went on 12/21/24 to get a headlight bulb replaced plus my taillight bulb replaced. I witnessed 4 techs each struggle to install and secure the HID headlight bulb. Meanwhile one of the idiots in the back kept shaking my cars open trunk to try to uncover the part to get to the back taillight. He failed miserably. They told me they couldn’t open the taillight so gave up on that and then I asked what about the headlight and they said, “oh it’s in but we’re just trying to secure it but it won’t stay”. After I witnessed 4 different techs try and failed, eventually the main person that was assisting me said she finally got it and charged me for the installation. I stupidly let her charge my card without testing it first, and it wasn’t until after I was charged that I turned on my headlights and tested it just to find that it was not working and flickering. They then told me “it’s likely a fuse issue” “we can have you talk to someone next door for a free diagnostic”. The diagnostic was not gonna be free and they were gonna charge me 149 for it, so I said thank you and left. I left very upset by such a shit show and pulled over to AutoZone down the road to try and remove the bulb myself thinking I’ll have to return it and buy one directly from the dealer. Luckily a dude pulled up next to me and asked me if I needed help as he saw me trying to remove the cover to get into the headlight area. I told him what happened and he said “maybe they didn’t secure it properly?” He opened the headlight cover and the bulb fell right out! He said “look it fell out, they didn’t even secure it, so that’s why”. He took maybe 3 or 4 min and was able to secure the bulb and had me test it out. Guess what? It worked! A random bystander outside of AutoZone did what 4 technicians at Valvoline could not do. I then called customer service to get a refund, only to be told that the manager of the location wanted to speak to me. I called with no answer and left a voicemail and no call back. I finally as of today 1/11 was able to follow up with customer support again and the lady apologized for my lousy experience and started my refund. So word to the wise, don’t do anything other than a simple oil change if you happen to go to this location. And honestly I don’t even recommend anyone to even come to this location. I go to stafford one and they are always professional, but idk what the techs at this Woodbridge location are doing but it was a complete display of incompetence from their staff. I would give lower stars if I could.

John the Manager was absolutely amazing. Communicated with me throughout the whole process, made the service very personal as not just another customer. Very detailed in what I need to tune up my car, processed my payment efficiently with no issues and wished me a great day, overall an amazing experience I would recommend him anytime.

I visited valvoline to get an oil change in my crv. I had planned to use my coupon from Groupon that was gifted to me by my daughter from NJ. It wasn't cheap as I could get the same synthetic oil from wmt and save over $20, but since I had the coupon, I wanted to use it up. The first thing I told the lady was that I was holding a coupon that I would use for the oil change, after staying in line for allmost over one and half hours. The lady punched in my info and also scanned the coupon voucher. She mumbled something as to coupon being not from here and did something to the computer to show zero balance and without saying that the coupon is not redeemable, the boys commenced the work, while I was fully convinced that the coupon is redeemed. After all work completed she returned and asked for even more money than the coupon itself and said 'it' did not take the coupon, for which I told her that I had asked her the very first thing upon entering the shop was, to ensure that my coupon is honoured. She insisted that it is not taken. She entirely FAILED to tell me and had ignored my request and had proceeded to change the oil! The manager arrived and I was shocked to hear that he was filled in with false information that the service had started way before this conversation, which wasn't possible anyway. The arguments ended as I had literally sat in my car for over two hours and was extremely tired and had no choice but to leave after paying the price again, and without the use of my useless coupon from useless Groupon coupon whose useless coupons cannot be returned after keeping beyond the 'three days'policy. NOTE : After arriving home, I also noticed two missing screws that hold the underplate and fasten to the bumper. These are special screws and these weren't missing earlier. I'll never go to Valvoline as this place is a ripoff!

TLDR, Don't let them pull you up to the bay UNTIL there is a car leaving! Prepare to wait 1hr+ for an oil change with only 6 cars in front of you. A girl (Shania) comes out and pulls everyone up insisting to trust her and has your vehicle INCHES from the car in front of you. There is no ryhme or reason to which bay your directed. Pray you don't have anyone getting anything more than an oil change in front of you. If you come here, be assertive with the staff. They change every month and couldn't care less about your time. Don't let them pull you up to the bay UNTIL there is a car leaving!

The Woodbridge Virginia Valvoline service center was recommended to me by someone, they couldn't quit talking about how great their experience was. How good can it be I thought? So I came by today - amazing is the word. Friendly, professional, on-point people, explaining everything they are doing and why. I was shocked at how good it was, I guess its still possible to get this kind of premium service. One more thing, it was less than half the price for these service items as the dealer, not to mention a better job and more enjoyable experience. I want to personally thank John the manager and his team: Joshua, Sofia and Sawyer for setting the example for how other shops "could be". Highest recommendation.

Well before the tech had even popped the hood she started marking that I needed a bunch of services. I then informed her I wasn't in need of them as I just had them done, some by this exact Valvoline location on my prior visit as shown in my record, don't need to change serpentine belt that frequently. I then requested that my tire pressure be checked and add extra air as I was getting warnings due to the change in cold weather. She said she would/did... But didn't. Drove off only to immediately have the light come on. Really just bad untrustworthy service

I do not recommend you to repair your car at this oil change shop, you will get the car out worse than when you put it in! the mechanics are rude to change the oil you have to wait 2h30 I waited 4 hours to change a belt I do not recommend coming to this shop to change your oil make no mistake I did it

Nearly 2.5 hours waiting in line to get an oil change. This is unacceptable. If you see a line out the door stop upselling services and just do your oil changes and get thru your day. Stop joking and talking and not acting like you can be bothered to not have some hustle. This has been a terrible experience at this location.

This Valvoline has untrained people working on your car beware!! On October 18th 2024 I goes in to get a simple oil change as I have before. Was directed by female and another female proceeded to help the other female when they both were working on my car. These two took longer than usual than I've ever been here to get my oil changed previously times before. I left and then had to come right back because I noticed that they did not change the oil percentage on my car as previous workers have before. She had to pull out her phone to Google this which baffled me. Later that day I had to go back to work so I started my car and proceeded to leave out of my parking lot and my car shut off, I had to get to work so as I'm driving the more I'm driving my car is jerking and stuttering an engine light is now on. Never had this issue before so I called them and when I got off of work they told me to bring the car back up there. I take the car back up there. They took a look at it to come find out that the two untrained femals that was working on my car out of one of them someone did not tighten the oil filter. Then come Saturday, I noticed a puddle of oil. I then call Valvoline back and talk to kennard, he tells me to bring the car up there again so he can have a look at it. He takes a look at it saying he saying I have a leak in my radiator and that he wiped everything down and he wiped everything clean and I shouldn't have a leak anymore, but I'm like okay I never had a leak in my radiator before nothing has ever been leaking from my car before I came and got this oil change done here! So anyway he proceeded to try to show me where the leak is coming from on my radiator saying it's leaking coolant, so I asked is this him if this is the compartment with the coolant goes and he says yes and he was like you're pretty low let me put some in. So he proceeds to do that and told me that if I should have any other problem just call him back. So I had to hit the Alexandria as I'm on the highway heading to Alexandria my check engine light comes on! So once I get to my destination I turn my car off but I still here as if my car is still running. I called Ken her back and I tell him what the issue is he's like oh well none of our mechanics are here today so you will have to come back Monday smh. At this point I'm so sick and tired of running back and forth to Valvoline. This is becoming an inconvenience! I goes back Monday to speak with the mechanic there and he tells me oh well the person didn't tighten the line that goes to the oil filter! And I'm like well how I bought it back Friday and they told me that that was the same issue so I thought someone had already tightened it last time! He proceeded to say yeah I don't know what they're doing over there and I was like yeah they have untrained people working on people's car messing up stuff! He's like yeah I'm going to have a talk with the manager over there I'm going to sit down and have a talk about this. Okay a few days go on and I go out to my car and I see a big puddle of whatever it is once again so I took a picture and I called the main office to Valvoline cuz at this point I'm sick and tired of keep coming up here. I put in a complaint I had to wait for someone to call me back only to have them send me back to the Valvoline on Jefferson Davis highway for them to have a look to tell me the same old goddamn thing before. My point is to them that I didn't have a fucking coolant leak before I came here to get my oil changed. And of course they disregard me as if they're not going to take fault in the mishap on their end. So I go back to Valvoline Monday to have John another mechanic look at my car totally tell me that basically there's nothing that they can do because they don't have anything to do with my radiator leaking coolant mind you this all didn't start until the two females put their hands under my car!!! IM TAKING THIS TO COURT!!!!

Too slow, they take 30-45 min per car Definitely not instant (15min-25 min like they claim) and constantly try to oversell you
