Easiest five stars I’ve ever given. Van Bortel makes car buying an experience where the customer is treated like a VIP. Bought my WRX here and never felt pushed into a sale but always felt supported and informed. The service department is great too - easy scheduling, fast and no-hassle service, and a very comfortable waiting room. Best car dealership I have ever worked with and I will be buying more Subarus there in the future.

Terrible service appointment to just get tires switched over. I was using new rims so the soonest I could get in was 4 weeks out. Had multiple phone conversations since to make sure EVERYONE knew that the summer tires were going on new rims being stored in Parts. The day of the appointment I was immediately asked, “Did you get tire pressure sensors?”. My response, “Did any of the 3 people I spoke with say that I needed to?”. “Well, we can do that but it’s gonna cost you an extra $85/tire. CHA CHING. Here comes the Subaru Love Promise. I walked out visibly pissed off. I will find someone else to switch the tires and will NOT do business with Van Bortel again.

Efficient and friendly. We used the no appointment necessary Express oil change and tire rotation and has them do a general wellness check. They also replaced our wipers and two air filters. Back on the road in 2 hours. Recommend!

I had a great experience at Subaru Van Bortel. The team there was incredibly helpful and honest. They fixed an issue with my Subaru BRZ's throttle quickly and at a fair price. Phil was very understanding and patient while explaining things. I appreciated their transparency and professionalism. I would definitely recommend them to anyone in need of car repairs. Due to long waiting times last week, I was unable to get my car serviced. I expected at least 2 hrs to have my car serviced on Tuesday this week, and it only took 1 1/2 hrs. Very pleased.

I have been to Van Bortel a handful of times and once for a recall repair. After my most recent visit I likely won't be going back. They tried to upsell me on parts that weren't broken, didn't troubleshoot an issue, instead they just jumped to replacing parts and when completing the warranty repair they didn't verify that everything they touched worked afterword so I had to come back and get it fixed. They also left debris on the floor after the repair that I had to clean up myself.
