Extremely poor customer service.

Bought some tires online couple of weeks ago and scheduled an appointment for 7 am the first appointment of the day. I arrived 6:50. Not one person came to open shop. The Walmart manager actually stopped by at 7:15 and was surprised that no one was there. I’m sure it happens all the time. Then the auto department manager came and said she couldn’t see my appointment. Then after a few minutes of looking she said she found my appointment. Then twice she told me she couldn’t find the tired I ordered while the app says they’re shipped and delivered to the store. Then she comes to tell me that there aren’t enough techs to install tires because only one came to work that day. Some other techs didn’t come in. Then she says she will go look for my tires again and due to not having techs she’ll have to cancel my schedule. And by this point I’ve been there for 1.5 hours. I’ve been as patient as I could up until this point. Then out of the blue she says she’s found my tires and tells me to drive to bay 5 and doesn’t tell me anything else. I asked what are we doing? Are we installing the tires in bay 5. She rudely says just drive to bay 5. She proceeds to put tires in the car and says to reschedule an appointment because they short staffed. It’s 8:15 and she will have another tech come in at 9 but she has another tire appointment at 9. I asked if I could just wait until 9 and get them installed since I’ve already waited this long. She then essentially cancels my schedule on her iPad. Said I was rude in her passive aggressive and condescending tone. And cuts me off in the middle of my sentence saying “No, I’m not accepting your apology.” LOL as if I was apologizing! The auto center manager is the worst I’ve ever dealt with. I don’t know how they keep this place open when they cancel scheduled services so often. And not surprised that this auto center has the lowest rating of the Walmart auto center in the triangle area. Not ever coming back!

**Updated as things progressed.** So far so good! 10.28.24 ~1pm They were the first store to actually answer the phone when I called to make an oil change appointment. The lady I spoke with was very nice and helped me get scheduled quickly. 5 stars. Update 10.30.24 The auto center opens at 7am. I set an appointment for 7:30. It is 7:55 as I type this and there is absolutely no auto staff here. Bay doors are closed and the back customer entrance is locked. I walked around to the front of the store to come in. I asked an associate from a near by department and he is kindly looking for someone who may know something. While waiting at the counter, I got a call from a lady in the auto department (remote or in an office) because she was no where to be seen inside. She said they would be opening late and told me I could come in at 930am. Unfortunately that time didn't work because I had other commitments at that time, hence my original intention for a 730am appointment. I told her I could come back after 1130. 2 stars... I arrived at 12, and stood in a rather long line. The girl, Hershey, who checked me in said she would get me in line to be done soon because I originally had an early appointment. We'll see. It's currently 12:20pm and my car is not in the garage yet. 3 stars... It's 12:37, I just saw my car in the garage. Things are looking up. 3 stars... It's 1pm. Car just finished. I'm happy with how quickly it was done, but the overall experience was frustrating with having to juggle several other appointments in my day because of their lack of staff in the morning. Staying at 3 stars.

An employee didn't show up so they couldn't open the auto center. They didn't call and the shop is not allowed to call someone off the clock. They had no indication of when they might open. Waited until 7:40.

An hour and twenty minutes after a scheduled service appointment, I went to the front desk to ask for an update because my car was still in the lot. “Sir, you need to have some patience.”

Cancelled my 8AM appointment I made 3 days in advance @6AM day of. Said the tires I wanted hadn’t arrived yet. Automatically refunded my service fee but they have a no return policy on tires. Now I just have to wait indefinitely for those tires to arrive and keep checking the app with no concept of how long it will take. Now I’m stuck with getting service at Walmart. I had to call 17 times for someone to pick up, when really they should have called me to reschedule. Guess I just can’t use my car! Thanks Walmart!

Horrible, clearance tires placed in the wrong place and prices don't match. Samaria argued with me that a customer changed the tires around and it was very obvious that a customer didn't change them around. She claims she is the manager but her badge says team lead. You have to make appointments to get an oil change and I understand why they are having staff problems. Who wants to work in that environment!!! Never coming back to this place again.

The tires here are a good price but the service after the fact is a circus ... Cross thread lug nuts, over/under inflated tires, failure to follow instructions... I think I will pay more next time and get tires somewhere else! Update: went to another tire shop to have job done correctly and they found another stripped lug nut on the front of the car ....

Visiting from out of town and had 2 great experiences with Alex installing my air filter since special tool I didn't have with me was needed and then I got a screw in my tire they repaired for free as I have a Walmart Plus membership. Under 2 hours completed. Can't complain for basically free.

I shouldve looked at the reviews before booking bc I share the same experience as many of the comments. Appt was at 5, I left at 815, had 2 tires put on my car. On a positive, Matt was kind and helpful as possible. I likely will not return to this location

Wow! What an experience! Ordered tires, had to change apps time...tried calling 10x, no answer. showed up for appt, found out their phone doesn't work. Brook was great, helpful, friendly. They were put on. I asked for one of the tires I was replacing to be put in back. My vehicle shows tire pressure, and I went back to show them one one tire was 50lb! (All supposed to be around 32lb. Not good! Got home and extra tire not there!

I got a flat earlier that day and needed a new tire. They did nit have my size tire in stock at the store but was very friendly and helpful. They recommended a place where I could go to get the tires that I needed and it worked out perfectly.

I saw the low reviews and wanted to share my experience. Christopher was exceptional. Amazingly positive attitude and helpful in diagnosing tire issues. Marco store clerk helped find lowest cost option. Manager of tire center Carlos was very helpful too to get me a slot where someone had cancelled an appointment. Over all great experience.

I went to get my oil change on 6/14/2024 i had my appointment at 11.00. waited 2 hours. I left without getting oil change. Only 1 person was working and other employees barely can move their body. Earning free money. I know that management doesn't care. This location should be closed if they can't provide service. Look at the employee performance on June 14, 2024 at tire center. I am selling my WMT stock.

Folks, this is the least expensive tire sales, installation, car care shop in the area. In the State if you include all Walmart Auto Centers. The fact that they get it right most of the time is noteworthy. Keep in mind every shop will make mistakes, including the occasional poor customer service. I've been going here for years and have consistently received good, if not exceptional, customer service. Yes it can be slow at times. Yes, when they're short-staffed (high turnover) you can call for days and no one picks up. But they consistently deliver, deliver on-time, at a great price, and with consistently great customer service. As of this review they're still transitioning over to the new online scheduling services and tire sales system. Recently, during the transition, my GF arrived for an online appt only to be told no such appt exists. That's unnerving. However, they did accept her vehicle at that time. And later that day, after the new tires were installed, she realized one was flat in our driveway. She brought it back and they immediately replaced a damaged valve stem. Did they damage the valve stem during the install? Probably. But they did make it right. My online two new tires appt today was wonderful! They even found a nail in another tire and patched it. Exceptional customer service! My bad experiences here have only really consisted of missing valve stem covers and over-torqued lug nuts. And even those were one time events. It's really a small price to pay for such a heavily discounted shop. I'm not saying we should accept less than perfect service. Just saying reviewers here should temper expectations. Wanna know what insane wait times, being up- and over-charged, and with the ocassional poor customer service feels like? Go to a dealership. This is a good shop, with consistently great staff, and incredible pricing and service options.

Great prices. You have to make an appointment to get your tires done. You can't just walk in with an emergency need. Go to Discount Tire for that - but you'll pay more. Come here if you can plan ahead.

I had an issue with my online order and Matt was extremely helpful was able to handle the situation effortlessly on my part. Also, he had to use my safety lock on one of my lugnuts and he made sure it was put back in the bag in the place I had it. I hope I can get Matt in the future

I visited here to change oil. They changed soon. I found a problem during a long trip after oil changing. Some bolts to fix my skid plate under car had been missed. My skid plate was not fixed and scratched and cracked by road during driving. I revisited here and asked to fix it. But they did not have enough bolts and said me I have to wait until they get new bolts. They told me expected date and I visited again. But, they did not have bolts. They said another expected date and I visited again. It was same situation. I visited several times and I have gave up them to solve their fault. I will never visit again.

Walmart has gone to appointments for oil changes, so I won't be back. The convenience of going to Walmart for an oil change is gone.

I was there for tire repair and they said, I have to take appointment. There is no online system to take appointment for tire repair. They never pick up the phone so I cannot do on the phone also.

Terribly slow and poor service. Every time I have gone to the Wake Forest location ( because I was stuck), there has been difficulty getting good timely service. I would hope it's not like that at every Walmart.

After reading reviews about Walmart Auto Care Centers I was having second thought about bringing my vehicle here. I came here 10 minutes before my appointment for my 4 tire installation. The tech was very nice. Checked me in and letting me know they are finishing up with the car before me. Told me it would take 1 to 1.5 hours. I got a text 35 minutes later saying it was ready. I thought definitely something is wrong with my car. But no it was actually completed in 35 minutes. This is on a Sunday afternoon where I assumed they are probably short staffed and it definitely going to takes longer than my appointment slot. I have been to big chain tire shop. Where it typically takes 2-3 hours to get 4 tired change (counting the time I walk in to the time get my keys back). Thank you guys for making my experience amazing.

First time going to WALMART Auto Center, GREATTTTT experience!!! I purchased 4 brand new tires they installed and I also can bring the car back any time I get a nail, etc… in the tire. They also Retorted my tires. Great Service!

Terrible if I could I would rate lower. The people working in that section are the definition of lazy. They need supervision so they will actually do something other then hang around and talk to each other.
