I usually do not leave reviews, but I felt in this case it was necessary. I have been using this mechanic since I was a teenager. I am now in my mid thirties. For the most part I felt like he was doing a good job with my car. I would see him for frequent maintenance on my car, and he would fix any major problems I had. There were times were I felt like he didn’t care, but I figured that he knew what he was doing. In early 2024 my car broke down and wouldn’t start, so I ended up seeing a new mechanic who was recommended to me by family members and he showed me that my car had leaks and the filters looked like they were never changed. They were filthy!!! I was very confused because I had gone to Walter’s Auto for years and I was always getting routine maintenance. I spent about 1500 dollars in repairs with the new mechanic to fix everything. My plan was to stay with the new mechanic that I found, but unfortunately he is not open on Saturdays and I was not able to take off work to get my car serviced. I was in desperate need of an oil change due to evacuation after the recent Hurricane. Early yesterday morning, July 20th, I went to Walter’s Auto after I stoped at the store to buy some new windshield wipers and freon. I asked the mechanic if he could give me an oil change and put on the windshield wipers and Freon. I sat outside and waited like I usually do. Then I noticed that there were several people who were coming and going before me. There were about 3 people whose cars he serviced before mine even though I was there first. I waited for about an hour and a half. Then he told me that I needed a new cabin air filter. I told him that it was just replaced a few months ago. He said,” Well it’s dirty and you need to replace it.” It had a little dirt but it was sill white almost brand new. He finally finished with my car and I told him that I noticed that he was skipping me. He said the other people did not need much so he did them first. Then I looked at my bill and I was charged 160 dollars. I was very upset and called him out. He had changed me 40 dollars for an air filter that I told him I did not need and he knew the one I had was almost brand new. I demanded a refund and he did apologize but I will never go back here. I am very disappointed in him. It’s not even about the money it’s the fact that he lied and was gaslighting me. It is not fair for mechanics to take advantage of people. I hope he doesn’t do this to anyone else. He lost a long term customer.

In Houston for a business trip. Had an engine failure. These guys checked out immediately and diagnosed. They came recommended from my Houston friends and they certainly live up to that recommendation. Having a trustworthy and reliable mechanic is gold. I will keep this team in mind whenever in Houston or should I ever find myself living in this area!!

I just can't put into words how caring and respectful the owner was he ensured me he could have my control arm ready to go when other places told me a week minimum the place isn't much to look at looking in but overall the expertise shown and professionalism here I don't think I could have received anywhere else 10/10 stars and very affordable prices

I cannot say enough good things about this place, Thu will always explain your auto problem thoroughly and approximate cost. I already knew he was a great mechanic and his employees. Now I know they do exceptional body work too. I Will send a before and after photo next post. It's good to always have a backup auto shop in case yours is busy. I'm glad someone referred me to Walters Auto. And everyone I referred still goes there too. A great mechanic and an honest one is hard to find. Hey! I went for an inspection this morning. It was raining pretty heavily but the person who helped me stood out in it when I somehow locked us out of one door and the inspection was done pretty quickly. When it was over I realized I left my wallet at my house and only had a little over half in cash. When I offered him my phone as collateral the guy refused and just told me to get it when I could. I came back right away and he was really cool about it! Very helpful and kind people.

While I was happy that I got my vehicle back the same day (took 5 hours), I didn’t expect such a high price. And of course, most of the cost was labor.
