Very unhappy with the service. I was overcharged for getting freeon to recharge for my air conditioning unit with dye and diagnostics was almost $600. Other shops quoted me less than half that. Worst part about it, I still have an issue and going to have to take it somewhere to take care of it.

Good auto mechanics you can trust. The dealer eventually gave up on my car's stalling problem after trying many solutions. To be fair, they figured out the problem but were not able to find a final solution. West Auto did! It took some time and creative thinking but they've solved the problem and my car is running great! And it wasn't an exorbitant cost, either. Highly recommend them!

I had a wonderful experience at Western Automotive and transmission they were able to sort out an issue with my air conditioning unit on my vehicle by finding a small leak that was very hard to detect. The mechanics answered all my questions and went out of their way to explain the issue to me and detail and make me feel comfortable about what my options were for getting it repaired. This is a very professionally run business by two gentlemen that always answers the phone on a positive note they are considerate about your schedule and offer a free Drop off and pick up so you do not have to stay and wait for your car. I will definitely be using their service in the future and would recommend the shop to anybody that needs expertise on AC units and transmissions in general car repair.

I've been a customer for couple of years at West Miramar Automotive & Transmission. Today I went for an oil change at 7:39 am. Came back to get my car at 1:12pm. Paid $112 for a Synthetic Oil Change. Last time I went there for a Synthetic oil Change was $100. My concern was the Cabin Air Filter which they inspected and removed. Luckily, I went to Autozone to replace my cabin air filter. I found out that the old air filter was never put back! Not sure how they missed to put the cabin air filter back on which they have several hour's to change oil and inspect the vehicle. Picture below is where they sent me an update for my car. The photo above shows an empty air filter when I opened the Glove Box. Unprofessional work and expensive prices, can't justify this by any means.This is my last time going to West Miramar Automotive and Transmission.

Paul and team took good care of us when we broke down unexpectedly on the highway and had AAA tow us there. Great service completed quickly and has AAA 10 percent discount. Conveniently next to gas station and car wash as well.

Horrible service. Charged me $150 just to tell me it costs $13,000 to fix my car. Definitely those car shops that overcharge you especially if you look inexperienced, young, or a girl. They swear they do you a favor by “discounting” $50 off but $200+ for a diagnostic already sounds absurd. I also spoke to other mechanics and they offered me ~$3,000-4,000 to fix my problem with the car. $13,000 is definitely overpriced. If a man had came with me, I’m sure it would be a different situation. Horrible place to go if you’re someone who doesn’t have thousands just to have a working car. Their motto “We Never Put Money Ahead of People” is a scam. :)

I sent my car on a tow truck bed and feeling cautious being a female with a messed up car. This shop not only eased my worry but provided me with the quality customer service by answering my questions honestly. I got an estimate for the work needed without surprise or feel of doubt. I will continue to do business with them. Hands down.

Use caution for an extremely pricey shop that does not break down how many hours of labor goes into your vehicles repair. Staff are standoffish when you try to mention any concerns as it seems like they only want your money.

Service has always been polite and efficient enough in the couple of years we have been a customer. Nothing too friendly or noteworthy. But, this last experience with West is the last. We dropped the car off for routine care and inspection on a Thursday. We were told it would be ready by close of business. By 4pm, we called for status only to be told they didn’t have the supplies to finish by the quoted time but it would be ready by close of business the next day. That’s fine. This stuff happens. But, we had to call in again at 4pm on Friday to find out that they never started work on our car because they prioritized another car. We were told that our vehicle would be there over the weekend and wouldn’t be ready until close of business Monday which is problematic for a working family. The main issue is the lack of communication and transparency in addition to complete disregard for us. Instead of giving us a heads up mid-day Friday, WE had to be the ones to call and find out the bad news. We could have made other arrangements for the weekend and Monday had they gave us timely information. At no time did they apologize let alone try to make things right. A simple, casual “we’re sorry for the inconvenience” would have gone a long way and avoided a bad review. At pickup, I was treated like a credit card. Basically “pay and go away” kind of treatment. No acknowledgement of the error and told to go around to pick up the car instead of having it bought up like most other car repair places. Not for one minute did I get mad or impatient. So, why was this treatment warranted? We do not recommend West to anyone let alone friends or family. The positive reviews here seem over the top for standard service. I’ve lived in many different places in the US being a service member. I can say that their business practice is pretty standard when they get things right and substandard when issues come up.

I found West Miramar a very good place. My van was totally dead. The city sent me a notice that they were going to ask everyone to move their vehicles for road work and after I got the van started with a jumper, West Miramar let me bring it to them on a moments notice, and within a few days had repaired it for a reasonable price. Polite people, good work- I was very happy with the experience.

I have a Gmc pick up truck and it’s sat for two months at another automobile repair facility. They were unable to fix my issue, and then West Automotive came to my rescue. Next time West will be my first choice as I can’t say enough about the Knowledge, skill and competency of their technicians. Mr. Jim’s level of Quality customer service was stellar and I had my truck back in a week. Thanks again Jim.

I have never received such thoughtful, supportive, and knowledgeable services as I received at West Miramar Automotive & Transmission. Before any work was done I was shown a list of what was recommended and how much it cost. I was able to choose if I wanted a service done or not. I was given a ride home by one of their staff who was friendly and efficient. I will certainly be returning anytime that I need work done on my Hyundai hybrid.
