I really appreciated the convenience of my experience with West O Auto. I was able to make my appointment online, drop my car off after hours the day before, receive and approve my inspection results via text, and I was notified when the car was ready. I called and had a great conversation with the technician about one of the recommendations, and while I didn't end up choosing the repair, I never felt pressured to do so and they gave good information. The only recommendation I have is to be more upfront with the credit card processing fee. I had to ask about it at checkout and I luckily brought my checkbook to have the fee waived. There is seemingly no mention of it on the digital payment platform either, unless I misses it.

On a cross country trip from Nevada to South Carolina, I needed help with a leak on my 2001 Dodge Ram 2WD as I was pulling a trailer and fluid was leaking all over. Normally I do all work myself but in this case I was without the ability. After review of reviews and other info, I selected these guys at West Omaha. They were courteous, able to get me in same day (thank you!) and nearby other transmission shops just in case of severe repair needs. They got me in and diagnosed one of the steel transmission lines as having worn through due to vibration over nearly 230k miles of operation. They scrambled and found a replacement pipe in town same day which wasn’t easy as this is a long pre-bent steel pipe with fittings specific to the truck. They replaced the part and I was out before they closed at 5 or so. Unfortunately after a short time, I discovered the leaking continued. At a gas station, I got under the truck and still had fluid leaking. I also discovered that they set the new cooling line against the other steel line, just like they had found it! So the root cause of the problem was not solved, only the part was replaced. It would have been easy to prevent the rubbing by slightly adjusting and bending the pipe arrangement. Due to my cross country travel and limited tools, I did find a piece of rubber and high temp zip ties and isolated the two steel lines. That got me going with less risk but didn’t fix the remaining leaking. Still the root cause was not solved. Upon arriving at my destination, I was able to unhitch and park the truck, then diagnose the full system. I was able to lightly adjust the pipes with a slight bend by hand to the new pipe that West Omaha added, and also I cleaned everything up and then ran the truck in idle to see if any leaking continued. To my surprise, the other leak was just coming from up above at the other (existing non-repaired) transmission steel pipe… on the compression fitting. All that had to be done was tighten the fitting! I’m very happy with the quick turnaround and support and kindness of the team at West Omaha and innovative approach to finding replacement parts in a flash. But unfortunately they didn’t solve the root causes of the leaking fully, even though they easily could have and as a result it truly saddens me that I can only give a 3 star review. My expectation was that paying for full service with experts, I would not have an immediate come back need, and had I not been on a long trip cross country with deadline for arrival, I would definitely have brought the truck back for them to re-diagnose and solve the problem correctly. Strong encourage their techs to do a more thorough and complete review and implement corrective and preventive solutions rather than just swapping parts.

These guys worked around the clock to get an extended car warranty to cover some serious damage. The level of customer service and honesty is second to none. If you’re not using West O auto you’re an idiot.

I drove home at the end of the day and as I walked back to my garage noticed something in my tire. It was a screw. I scattered to try and figure out what to do so late with many places closing for the day. I bundled my son up to head back out to get the tire fixed. I needed to use my car the next morning and was at the mercy of those willing to help. I showed up to West Omaha Auto Service moments before they closed assuming I would need to make an appointment or have to go search for help. Instead the mechanic on shift that was just getting ready to run out the door stopped and fixed my tire. He was so quick that we barely waited at all. I don't even think it took 10 minutes. I thanked them all and they were so gracious. I asked them if they needed my card to charge or if they had it on file. They told me not to worry about it that they were in the giving spirit. I have never in my 42 years of life had such a kind tire/mechanic/auto service gesture at a time I needed it most. Thank you all so much for being reliable, kind, compassionate, trustworthy, organized, dedicated, gracious, giving, and fast! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Thank you for everything.

I've been to West Omaha Auto for oil change before. I have no problem with their service. I did however have a problem this time when I was advised when paying for my oil change that they were now charging 3% to use a card. It was not posted on their advertisement nor was I advised this of the change when, I made the appointment. It was irritating to say the least. No chance to get cash.... Will definitely be going elsewhere in the future.

Red oil light warning on dash. The guys had checked into the oil light issue and inspected the rest of my vehicle. They had found a water pump issue and were very honest about the problem, solution and value, or lack of value, in having the work done on a car that is 20 years old.No pressure, just straight up facts that allowed me to decide if it was worth having the repairs done

Super easy to work with and told me start up what was wrong with my car. Glad they were able to get my car in and arrange for the tow company to pick it up. Easy financing with Syncrony, super convenient lock boxes for after hours pickup and all of the gentleman that I worked with were very polite. Will most definitely be using them again if needed in the future.

I have trust issues. My husband got a recommendation from a friend to try West Omaha Auto Service for some work on our secondary car. It went so well that I didn’t hesitate to take my car there when the check engine light came on. Not once have they given me any feeling of doubt. While we are facing a catastrophic engine failure with my car, the staff at WOAC have been nothing short of informative, supportive and willing to go the extra mile to give us answers to any questions we’ve had. I’ll never buy another Ford, but I’ll continue doing business with West Omaha Auto Service. I trust them. That says a lot to me.

I brought in my 2001 Chevy Prizm for a check engine light diagnosis. It was easy to call and setup an appointment. They conducted an in-depth inspection on exactly what I asked them too, and went even further and found some other small issues that I wasn't aware of. Overall it was a smooth, cordial, and timely process and fairly priced for the work they did. Will definitely bring my cars back in the future if needed.

It was my first time there, car needed struts, and the price was reasonable, the staff there were friendly, the shop is actually bigger than it looks from the outside and it was full of cars getting worked on, when I paid the bill there were no added "shop supplies " charges added onto the bill which was nice, all in all I will be going back there.
