I drove home at the end of the day and as I walked back to my garage noticed something in my tire. It was a screw. I scattered to try and figure out what to do so late with many places closing for the day. I bundled my son up to head back out to get the tire fixed. I needed to use my car the next morning and was at the mercy of those willing to help. I showed up to West Omaha Auto Service moments before they closed assuming I would need to make an appointment or have to go search for help. Instead the mechanic on shift that was just getting ready to run out the door stopped and fixed my tire. He was so quick that we barely waited at all. I don't even think it took 10 minutes. I thanked them all and they were so gracious. I asked them if they needed my card to charge or if they had it on file. They told me not to worry about it that they were in the giving spirit. I have never in my 42 years of life had such a kind tire/mechanic/auto service gesture at a time I needed it most. Thank you all so much for being reliable, kind, compassionate, trustworthy, organized, dedicated, gracious, giving, and fast! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Thank you for everything.

Great service! They don’t push additional service on you. I love their waiting room! Hot chocolate, soda, water, chips and a TV. Close enough to a walking path to take a little one in a walk to kill time.

Went in for oil change. Very clean place and the guys there were very friendly.they did a car max on my car and I will definitely be back after first of the year. Great service and I will tell my friends. Thanks guys

A top 10 location for repairs. Competitive pricing and attention to detail. Nick at the service counter really went the extra mile to make you feel that your business is important to them. Well trained staff. Prompt scheduling and work done professionally as promised. Highly recommend.

Had a great experience at West Omaha Auto! Needed a pricey repair and even after letting them know I got other estimates, they graciously talked through what they were providing vs other estimates. Though they were a bit higher the value of integrity, standing behind their work with great warranties and their willingness to talk it out well worth the little bit more I paid. They also did an inspection to see if anything else was needing a look which I always appreciate. As a nice perk, my car was washed and the inside vacuumed and wiped down. Which was just a nice touch of class and added attention in making me feel as though they care about their Customers whole experience. From coffee, drinks and snacks in the waiting area to friendly folks and a clean car once repaired, it took that bite the bullet edge off the spend on repairing a pricey problem so I could drive away with a smile. Thank you so much!!

I brought my 2013 Chevy equinox in to have the leaking oil and engine light serviced. Tucker was absolutely honest and upfront with me and said the engine needed replaced and the extended warranty would only cover $6500 total. The engine alone is $6000 and doesn't include parts or labor. Tucker was diligent and forthcoming and saying the warranty won't cover anything going forward. I bought the car from Gateway auto in 2021. I am so grateful for the honesty and compassion that I was provided by west Omaha automotive and the environment is very welcoming with coffee, soda and free snacks as well!!

From my first oil change they were great! Honest and trustworthy employees with quick and affordable service. I have since used them for all of my mechanic needs including my husband's and my kids'. As far as I'm concerned they will be the mechanic shop of my choice from now on!

The other day I heard a loud breaking sound from the front end of my truck, this Caused my vehicle to become impossible to drive safely. it was urgent that I get my primary vehicle back up and running as quickly as possible. I first called the dealership and although my need was urgent, they wouldn’t be able to see me for almost a week. Having a good experience with West Omaha Auto Service once before, I thought I would give them another shot. I was able to drop my vehicle off at their shop, that night. they were able to diagnose the main problem it the very next morning . They did a full detailed inspection Of my vehicle and then let me know what needed to be taken care of most urgently, they even contacted and negotiated with my extended warranty company for me. They Were able to repair my vehicle using quality parts in less than a day and had me back on the road that afternoon .

There is a reason why they have a 4.9 google review rating. Love the online automated process. Text reminders, online inspection report, online repair approval process, and resolved the (bearing replacement) issue. Pricing was reasonable and they applied a coupon without me mentioning it first. My new auto service center.

These people put me in a terrible position and they didn’t even care about making it right. On Aug 21, 2024 I took my Yukon to West Omaha Auto Service to get my oil changed early because I was planning to leave that Friday morning on a week-long trip, driving 1314 miles each way pulling my travel trailer. I had taken that same trip using the same exact route just 3 months earlier with the same truck and same trailer. Since it was such a long trip I took their advice to go ahead and do all the vehicle flushes, a tune up and they said I needed a new radiator because the existing one had a leaking oil cooler. The price tag when they were done was near $3400. When I picked it up I noticed within 2 blocks that the normal operating temp was a little higher than it ran before the repair which concerned me a little so I immediately turned around and went back to the shop to ask why this was different. When I got back to the shop I told Nick that I was concerned because the temp needle had risen a bit over 210 degrees and I don't even have my trailer attached to the truck yet. I asked Nick if I was going to have issues driving so many miles? Nick assured me that this was below normal operating temp and I should be fine. I left early the next morning and multiple times during my trip there, I had to pull over and wait while the engine cooled down because my temperature gauges for the engine and the transmission were creeping up to 240 degrees. Basically trip was a disaster and I had to cut it short to get back to work in time. When I returned to Omaha they said they would have someone test drive it to see what it was doing. After he came back I was told it was operating as it should. I told Nick that means he didn't get the rpm's up enough then. Nick said ok let's go then, I'll go and you show me. Once he got in the passenger seat of my truck and shut the door he raised his voice, used profanity and called me a liar over and over, multiple times. I was shocked and could not believe the way he was talking to me. I hit record on my phone because I knew no one would believe me. Once we got on the road he insulted my driving and multiple times said that this truck is not capable of pulling this trailer. I did a lot of research before I bought the travel trailer new to verify that my GMC Yukon could safely pull that size trailer. The trailer dealership and everything I read about towing capacity of my truck, told me that my truck was capable. Why would I buy a travel trailer when I knew my truck engine could be damaged? Mind you, during all this time, my temp gauge is reading higher than I am used to seeing it read with or without my trailer attached. I kept telling him that 3 months ago I pulled the same trailer the same route the same distance and my temp gauge did not reach this level. I did not understand why this radiator was behaving in my truck differently than the one they took out but I knew it was not the same. This radiator was not cooling my engine and transmission the way the other one did. That was a fact. When I said that to Nick he told me that he never witnessed how my old radiator performed, he had only just met me, how does he know that what I am telling him is correct? I don't know why he would think I had anything to gain by lying about that but he continually called me a liar. He did have something hooked up to my truck while we were driving probably to monitor the temperature. By the end of the test drive his tune changed and was telling me that he was getting me a loaner car and that they were going to put a factory radiator in to see if that fixes the problem. We did that and my truck runs fine now, just as it did with my old radiator they took out before my trip. I don't know if I can take any more time off of work to go back this year to try to finish up the things I did not get done while there. I spent money on hotel room, a diagnostic check while in sc. They talk like those things don't matter to them. I told them how Nick talked to me and I was told they are reviewing it.

They are very transparent with the needed repair and estimate of the cost that can be approved via text and notified when completed. Overall great experience.

They were very honest and told me I didn't need an oil change when I went in but checked everything else to make sure my car was ready for winter. I am so glad I found them for my car maintenance needs.

West Omaha Auto service is a good honest place. Took my Honda Oulot for an oil change. Their waiting area is comfortable. We waited less than an hour and it was done.

Matt always does an awesome job on all our cars. He is honest, fast but accurate when working on the cars. He does an inspection 1st even though you just bring it in for an oil change to make sure there is nothing else wrong and only suggestes what he believes what can 1) Save you money in the long run. 2) benefits you 3) makes your car run better. Straight forward , responsive , and quick to resolve issues on my truck!
