Goodwill. This is a concept that Bosley has already missed. At least with me. I went in with a bare wheel. I needed it checked on the balancer. Simple, right? Takes two maybe three minutes tops, happy to tip whoever does it like I did at another local shop (Browns) that didn't have a problem with giving me a hand on the same issue. Tipped $5 for 3 minutes of time. It's a courtesy item, not a money maker. But not at Bosley, no sireee. (Browns got busy on the second wheel). Conversation went about like this (this is the cliffs notes version): Which wheel is it? In the trunk. In the trunk? Your tires look worn. Yeah, I have a bad wheel, I need the replacement in my trunk checked to make sure it's not warped. Which wheel is it? I don't know. I haven't looked recently. I'm fixing the problem, I just need the wheel thrown on a balancer to make sure it's straight. Well it looks ok. I guarantee you that wheel [in the trunk] is fine. It might look fine, but I won't know until it's thrown on a balancer. That's what I'm needing. Well it looks like you have other problems. Yeah, I'm replacing my entire front end this week in preparation for new tires, and I have a bad wheel, that I'm replacing, before I spend the money on new tires and an alignment. But you don't know which wheel is bad. I'm not here for that. Can you just put this wheel on the balancer so I can see that is straight. No we're too busy. ..... WOW. The amount of time this guy spent, trying to figure out other ways to cost me money, he could have thrown the damned wheel on the balancer, let me see that it's straight or wobbly, gotten $5 for his whopping 2 minutes of time (equivalent to $120/hr roughly) and I'd have been happy, and he'd have his drink at the bar tonight. Didn't need a vehicular root canal. So easy. Instead he just wasted my damned time, wasted his own damned time, for no benefit to either of us. Goodwill is where you do the small things for customers in order to gain their trust and desire to do business. Bosley Tires, from this interaction, does nothing of the sort. This guy was trying to gauge how much money he could fleece out of me. Example, customer asks me for something stupid simple? I do it. If it's a few minute operation, I'm trying to get his or her future business by employment goodwill. Because if you do something simple with a smile, the customer will remember that, relate that, offer word of mouth advertising without thinking about it, and thus get you far more business in the long run. It's what makes good business good, and great businesses both popular and profitable. If this guy was any semblance of what service is like at Bosley, avoid at all costs. Go to an independent shop instead. Where they understand goodwill and courtesy. I haven't had an experience like that in years. Just left me cursing and pissed.

This place is scam city. They lie cheat and steal. I came in to get a tire alignment, they made me wait 3 hours in the lobby, and when they called me to pay, they said they didn't do any work and instead they did an inspection and charged me $90 and told me I needed $2500 in repairs when my 30 year old truck obviously is worth less than that. I hate Bosley they are evil and liars.
