York Auto Care took care of my smog check as my registration date was quickly approaching. They took me in and after the smog check was completed sent the paperwork to DMV and me on my way. I love York Auto Care and their technicians!

I brought my wife’s Mazda in for an oil change. As far as I can tell, York Auto Care is fairly priced, the service is quick, and the staff is no-nonsense. I’m usually skeptical of reviews and the shop itself is a bit cramped and not much to look at, but I trusted the other reviews here and so far, I am happy with the service. I called a day or two ahead of time and scheduled an appointment. They changed my oil and scanned for codes and told me a few things that needed attention, but they weren’t pushy when I declined the extras. They gave me a call when the car was ready, maybe an hour or so later. This shop is very conveniently located close to me and so far, I don’t see any reason to go anywhere else.

I came here because my go to car repair spot was closed (bad idea)... my car was not turning on so I called this place and they told me I needed a new battery. They were just around the corner of where I live so I am thankful that they were able to come and jump start my car so I could bring it over, I'll give them that. I was fully prepared to pay the price of a new battery which I did), but then they proceeded to tell me that I basically needed about $3.5K of additional work done to my car. They scared me, telling me that I need to get this work done asap, as it would be dangerous for me to drive my car on the roads if I didn't get this work done asap. Something in me felt like I was being taken advantage of, as I have never been quoted this high and this was a new place, I felt like I was being taken advantage of because I am a woman who doesn't know a lot about cars... So I ended up going to my go to auto repaid shop in HLP and showed them the service repaid breakdown from York Auto Repair... and low and behold, he told me that none of this work was necessary, and that it seems like they were trying to take advantage of me and up-charge me up the wazoo!!!! There were multiple services on the invoice sheet that York Auto Repair quoted that included this BG product which I later found out are completely unnecessary and such a scam. I could go on and on, but I was very disappointed with my experience here and as a woman especially I highly recommend not going here.

My 2012 Camry Hybrid needed a new battery. I couldn't find one online. Checked with dealer and they quoted $500. Called York and Heno explained that my particular car didn't have an after market 12v battery. He said he could order one and have it replaced within 24 hours. He was very straightforward in explaining everything. They also picked me up at home when my car was ready. It was $480. They didn't do the high pressure thing for other services. I like this place.

I’ve always been weary of certain professions including mechanics. Being a woman, not having much knowledge about cars and bad experiences with dishonest or negligent mechanics, makes me uncomfortable. But Henno, the owner here has proven himself honest and trustworthy; recently a bunch of lights went off on my Subaru. Jenni patiently explained everything to me; it was potentially going to cost me more than $1600- Henno, before putting the car through diagnostic, guessed it was a faulty designed coolant valve. He also asked if I had extended warranty. I had totally forgotten that I did because I bought the car in 2019. Long story short, because of Henna, Subaru towed my car on my warranty, diagnosed it without charge finding out that indeed, Henno was guess was correct and they dealership fixed it without any charge on my warranty. Jenni also warned me to make sure to ask for a loaner car or they would have no incentive to fix the car promptly. This was a tremendous help to me. He also offered that he would answer any questions if I did not understand what the dealership may diagnose. Also, the other people who work there are always respectful and professional. I recommend this business- I trust them.

Heno, Mike, and the team at York Auto Care are the best. I have brought my 2005 Honda CR-V to them on many occasions (they've seen me at my low with car struggles) and they have gone above and beyond to trouble shoot and identify the issues to replace the correct parts efficiently and always within reason since it's an older car. Thank you guys.

I recently went back to York Auto Care for an oil change, and once again, I was thoroughly impressed. The staff was prompt, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable. The whole experience was seamless and efficient. I’ll definitely be returning in the future. Highly recommend York Auto Care for top-notch service!

This place is amazing. Mechanics work above and beyond. Used to take my car to dealership. The car still had problems after going to dealership. Came to York Auto Care. Car is working better now. Really happy with the service.
