I just wanted to thank Brian & his crew for an outstanding job they did on a recent fix. He quoted me a round about figure for the issue prior to coming in & was able to do it for much less when he & his techs found another option. I appreciated his honesty & sincerity for pleasing his costumers.

This shop does a great job sourcing parts and services. Does the extra when possible. Knows Toyotas well. Fair pricing, no hidden surprises.

If I could give them zero stars I would, super unprofessional, no good customer service paid 1500 and gave a tip to mechanic for my car to not even be running any better. Kept saying I need to replace alternator when we had tested alternator and it has been replaced before bringing to shop, they said to bring car back two days later so we did they didn’t even look at car the owner called my boyfriend to come pick up car and hung up on him because he was mad my boyfriend even asked if they could go over the phone recordings to be on same page about what was said previously about them fixing 80 percent of the issue and he refused, to me sounds shady and scamming people for money I would stay far away from here take your business elsewhere I should of listened to previous reviews about them being dishonest. UPDATE on my review: Brian you used to run an honest shop, I’m not sure what has changed or why. Unfortunately now your crew isn’t honest and when a customer confronts you about concerns and issues you blow up and don’t listen. When your “tech” first called he said it was my alternator I told him I had swapped that out and already tested before bringing in so I know that’s not it. That should have been the red flag to make me pick up my car and leave. But based on past experiences with you I gave you the benefit of the doubt and Your “tech” said the fuel pump would solve 80% of the problem and when the car was picked up it was just as bad as when it was dropped off. When I went back in you said you would look at it so I dropped it back off and then you called and refused to look at it. Said you reviewed the notes. When I told you to listen to your “techs” phone call with me so we could all be on the same page you refused to listen. Why did you refuse to listen Brian? Is it because you know your “tech” lied to me. Listen I know I paid cash and my options are either small claims court or bad review. And I’m sure you know most people won’t take the time to take you to court and you are correct I’m one of them because I work hard for my money. But I’m leaving this review in the hopes that I save someone else from having to deal with shady mechanics like you and your staff.

Spent 1500 on fuel pump. And for them too look at codes. They said okay its running about 80% your good to go, but they said I do have another vacumm leak but it's a small one. I drive it for one day and the engine light comes back and it starts acting how it did when I first took it too them. I call, and tell them my light came back on, they said swing it by we will look at it. After telling me they told me I had another leak. By this time my trust in them was not very good, because they even tried saying it's my alternator, when that was the first thing I tested by taking the power lead and disconnecting it. They said if it's good we will just refund you, 'umm okayy... ' yeah it starts getting fishy...... long story short, I end up taking my 99 blazer back in for them to look at it but looks like there busy so kinda just telling me more bullshit, owner said okay I'm involved now I'll look through it. Went in today to see the progress, but blazer was just sitting in same spot, owner comes to talk to me says oh yeah hey um so there's nothing we can really do. I asked if he already looked over it. He said no I looked at the notes. WTF right. He didn't even do what he said he was going to do. I asked to listen to the phone call recording to get on same page, he wouldn't go for it saying he will take it for a drive and walks away not even looking at me when he's talking. So I go back to my job, he calls me saying 'where did you go I wanted to talk to you' , We get to talking and by this time I feel there just trying to push me out. Owner I guess gets mad and just tells me to come get my keys. Worst customer service. Paid in cash even gave tip to mechanic the first time i was in there to pick up my blazer. NEVER WILL I EVER GO BACK! 1500 dollars down and my car is back to the way it was.

Zemp Auto is the best! The team is so knowledgeable and nice. Joe was so patient with me and broke down the bill and explained everything in detail. We won’t be taking our car anywhere else. 10/10 recommend!

GREAT SHOP!!!! The owner Brian is so amazing they helped me with starter and battery issues that fire stone caused.. lovethis shop they were fast and they did free towing . Place is amazing!!!!

The worst experience I’ve ever had they had my truck for a week and told me they changed my plugs and coil packs and said my truck was running better and after I left the place truck is still running the same so I decided to look under the hood and it still has the Same old coils in the truck and this is after I paid 867 dollars to get fixed

These guys are awesome. My old car needed a lot of work. They kept me updated throughout the process and had it fixed in two days (I was expecting a lot longer). The total cost was very reasonable. If I ever need a mechanic Zemp is my go-to.

This is Zemp Auto mission statement: Our Mission Statement Istarted Zemp Auto with the belief that I could treat customers the way I would like to be treated and still run a successful business. Our goal is to provide people with the service and repairs their vehicles need, without pushing unnecessary services. And I will say they stand by it 100% first time there and I was referred by my brother, It was an amazing experience, they are honest and good what they do all around . The owner is amazing and his employees follow that great honest example. I’m on a fixed income and really reasonable in price and to double make sure my car was good the owner test drive it as well. Little things like that are a big thing that shows they truly care and your car is not just a number. I am very satisfied and will only take my vehicle to them. Honest, trustworthy , kind , informative and reliable .

I wanted to refresh this for anyone considering this shop. This owner took the time to respond in depth to my review, yet wouldn’t look me in the face when I walked in his shop to return the parts his shop replaced and broke. Nor does he even know how to spell my name. Ugh… trust me… run. Every now and then you get a good honest local shop. This isn’t it. Every time I have taken my vehicle there, it comes out with more problems than it went in with. I could go into details, but let’s just say you will need multiple return trips and every time they will tell you it isn’t their fault. So, this last time, after hearing he wants $2,900 to fix what they now believe to be the problem, I voiced my concern and the owner cut me off and told me I had been a very difficult customer to deal with. That won’t be a problem for him anymore. Do yourself a favor and take your vehicle anywhere but there! Well, if Brian wants to call me a liar, as well as a difficult customer, I suppose I ought to additionally clarify that he replaced the water pump along with multiple other items in response to the truck getting hot when sitting idling. It never resolved the issue, so clearly the shop doesn’t know how to find the problem. I personally diagnosed the problem myself and determined the real issue was the condenser fan motor. Decided to give them another shot. Also had a “small evap leak” code that I asked to have troubleshot. Determination was I needed a new gas cap, needed a new water pump (again), and of course radiator hoses. Funny how Brian mentioned he didn’t charge me for the water pump, when they didn’t even remember doing it and that the water pump had a parts warranty. Short story, the check engine light came back, the hose connection to the water pump developed a leak, took the truck back each time, each time a new excuse. Now I have a radiator leak at the hose connection which is probably the result of them over torquing the radiator hose clamp when I brought it in because of the first leak. Then they magically found the evap leak, but determined it was a connection port on the gas tank. So they performed some repair to it and of course, now I again have the check engine light with the gas cap light on, their response is that I need a new gas tank and a new radiator, funny how everything they touch gets worse. By the way, I had the shop issue me a parts refund for the condenser fan that I had paid them to replace that the used epoxy on when they broke it during installation. I put a new one in myself as I was there fixing the other problems they had created anyhow. Hacks! And don’t even get me started on the filth of their shop, or the complete lack of ability for the shop to communicate. But sure Brian… I am being untrue in the fact that your shop is a completely mismanaged, over priced, and completely inept facility. Can’t wait to take it to someone else and hear their feedback on the quality of your work.

We've used, Zemp before as have other family members, but recently I was in an emergency situation and Brian got me safely back on the road. He was recommended to us by Mark Salem and that meant a lot. So grateful for wonderful service.

Asked a fair question and the owner came out, very rude and yelling that we knew nothing about what was asked. Have never had a mechanic talk down and be so rude in my life. Hopefully he doesn't yell evey time someone asks a question in "his" shop. Could have been a civil conversation, but he made it a terrible experience.

First time ever going to this shop. You can tell they are good because they have so many cars there, either waiting to be serviced, or currently being serviced. Tech's going in and out of the shop, communication flying back and forth, phones ringing off the hook, and yet, they all act like one big happy family, joking back and forth, and greeting customers as they come through the door. I went in for an oil change and they also came back with a free diagnosis. I was so happy with their service that I took my other car in for an oil change about 2 weeks later. All the negative comments I read on here are because they want to be catered to. Brian and his crew have no time for that! VERY happy with my service there.

Never got an update about my car the only update I got was that my car was there from being towed. I had to text or call to get information about my car. I was advise that my car's part would take 3-5 days to be there and it took about a week and I had to call and text about my car. I also applied for a financial assistant and was approved and for some reason it was canceled and was not advise from my advisor until I picked up my car from them. First and last time I will use them.

Bryan and Paul really went above and beyond to figure out what was going on with my car. I appreciate their help, honesty, and transparency. They really made me feel like their business card says "honest" auto shop. I would recommend doing business with them.

For the most part, these guys do great work. They are quick and responsive and know their stuff. But their base price for some simple items are too high. So if it is something smaller, DIY or go somewhere else. For major work, highly recommend.

I recently heard about Zemp Auto and tried them for the 1st time. They were knowledgeable and professional. Someone there answered the phone each time I called and was able to provide me with an update. They had quickly identified and repaired the issue. I would do business with them again.

It was my first time there & got an oil change. The staff were friendly & professional. I live just a 15 minute walk away & I received a text when completed also with a inspection report on my car. This will be my usual spot from now on!

My first and only experience with Zemp Auto was absolutely fantastic. I originally came in for a second opinion after being quoted by the dealership (obviously I wasn't going to have the dealership do the repairs they said it needed) and they confirmed the diagnosis but were able to do it for a fraction of the cost, saving me so much money and stress. Paul was a rock star and the other guys in the shop were extremely knowledgeable, and as a younger female I felt I could trust their suggestions right off the bat. When this place says they give you an honest experience, its true. There is absolutely no sense of slimy sales, pressure, up-charging, price gouging or offering unnecessary repairs. Some shops like to try and claim they give honest repair advice but this is the only shop where I've felt they were 100% genuine in their claims. Oh and Ruby, the shop cat really put the cherry on top! Go see them, they might be backed up but they are worth the wait!!

This company has gone downhill over the last couple of years. They have unsuccessfully attempted to scale and grow, but their quality has suffered. Couple this with a bad attitude owner with vulgar language and a temper, and you can see why people are choosing nearby Sunland Auto.
