Don’t ever underestimate your local mechanic. I have a 2015 Subaru outback that I bought from the dealership. I’ve brought it back to the dealership in the past for random problems, but this time they misdiagnosed the issue as transmission related and that I needed a new transmission, which would’ve cost upwards over 10k. I brought it here for a second opinion, and 2nd quote on a transmission, and it turns out it wasn’t even the transmission it was spark plugs and carbon buildup. My car is running fine now. Thanks so much!

I have been a customer at Zepeda auto service for about 2 years and I cannot recommend them more. First, there customer service is top notch. They always remember me and my vehicle and are quick to squeeze me in when something unexpected comes up. Second, they provide detailed reports after every visit over email. As someone with little experience with cars, this allows me to take the time I need to do more research on some of the expensive repairs and not feel pressured or taken advantage of in the moment. They are also very clear with which maintenance recommendations are necessary vs. nice to have. Third, I find the prices to be reasonable for Chicago. While of course it is a city and nothing is cheap, when I've compared with prices for similar maintenance in my home state of Iowa they are pretty comparable. Overall, a great experience and I plan to stay with them for the long term!

All the positive reviews on here are legit. I just got done working with Zepeda and I literally ran to Google to give them a 5 star review. I’ve never had a better experience with a service center in my life. From the very first phone call all the way to returning my keys, every single person I worked with at Zepeda was the most kind and professional service person I’ve ever encountered. As a young woman, I’ve learned the hard way to keep my guard up and make sure I’m not getting scammed or manipulated in these environments. But at every turn, Zepeda proved that fair and honest auto service does exist. Their standards for customer service are sky-high. They listened to my needs, explained their process clearly, always followed up, and never missed a beat. I ended up needing a new battery and alternator, new tires, and a bunch of other maintenance, and they had the diagnostics report done in a day and the service done in two. I couldn’t believe it. And throughout that whole time, they called me daily to keep me updated. Their estimate interface is soooo nice too, it’s sent to your email and phone and you get to look at all the red, yellow, and green items they checked with photo evidence and descriptions, so you know they’re being thorough. And the “red” items (the most needed) wasn’t a laundry list of stuff to try and hike up my bill. They were all items I had either known or anticipated needed to be done on my car. Not once did anyone try and pressure me into tacking on the yellow or green items to my estimate. You’d think with all of this that their prices would be insane but somehow they’re not. I got so much done, and the price was fair. They were also happy to explain why the price was the way it was and work with me to find a way to meet my budget needs. I truly felt so taken care of and supported by the team at Zepeda and I can’t recommend them enough. Don’t hesitate to go here for any service needs!

I am not very familiar with cars and am always hesitant to spend money on repairs but am always glad when I do here. I trust this place. I actually notice a better driving experience!! Very thankful!

I would recommend Zepeda's to anyone. They are professional, friendly, and reasonably priced. They don't do work that doesn't need to be done. I feel like a valued customer when I go to Zepeda's and that makes me value them all the more.

The most trustworthy shop!! I’ve been going to Zepeda for over 10 years (and numerous vehicles), and they have always been transparent about services and pricing, on time with their estimates and provide excellent work. Everyone that I have interacted with has been an absolute pleasure to deal with. Highly recommended.

They gave me an estimate of $289 for a transmission flush whereas the Toyota dealership gave me an estimate of $298. The average price from Google is $125-250 so i do feel like they overpriced it, their reasoning was that they use Toyota premium oil but that stuff is at most $100 for 10qts online

Honestly these guys are the best. Came to them with some privilege with my emissions test and they were up front with problems and continued to keep working it until it got right. Really trustworthy and honest place couldn't recommend more.

Always great, thorough, and friendly service. Some repairs take a little longer than elsewhere but mistakes are never made, prices are always fair, and they give a service report with recommended maintenance estimates. I happily come back here for all my auto service needs.

I had tons of work that needed to be done in my car that almost had me carless. But, after making a one time call David and his team had me come in after a day of scheduling an appointment with them. Once, I brought my car in they quickly inspected it called me in about two hours with an estimate and let me know very detailed of what was going on with my car. And after giving me a great reasonable estimate I decided to move forward with the fixes of my car. By the end of the day David and his team had my car done in less than 24hours I truly recommend this place if you guys are in need of a quick fix!

José & David were amazing with helping me fix my car, getting it in for them to view quick & it was ready next day The car has been working great. Having been serviced by them was a very great experience, they helped me understand what my car needed and what was going to be done. I couldn’t be happier with the service.
