At present I can't give an opinion on the work of replacing my transmission as the thermostat went out while in Zia shop. The tranny was 5 grand,the thermostat is 1300 and I have been in the vehicle since repair of tranny about 100 miles. I will leave a f/u assement after I get to drive my 2017 colorado. I figured 3 stars are about what I can give at this time. Front office people are good. Mechanics are an unknown at this time.

I thought it was the brakes that needed to be replaced the called me back and said brakes were fine must of hade a rock they could of said ya and lied but they did not honest company and very respectful

These guys did a great job diagnosing and replacing my catalyc converter for about 1000.00 dollars cheaper than the chevy dealership wanted. Great job guys!

Thanks again for a great job done! Updated 6/21/24: great service as usual. Joe Rep is awesome (as are the whole staff)! Quality workmanship, reasonably priced, and always friendly. Thanks once again Zia! First class service and expertise! The service guys were all super friendly and helpful. Joe R, the manager was awesome. He kept me informed, throughout the whole process. Reasonably priced as well. Clean, professional environment and facility too!

Chuck from Zia Automotive might be the most honest mechanic I have ever worked with. He could have easily charged us a ton of money but he was honest with us and just so kind. Would recommend 10/10.

This shop and it's employee's have been awesome. When I was having issues with my car and calling around to shops to get an quote for the repair. I had a check engine light going off and had auto zone run the test to see why so I had an idea of what was wrong. All the other shops I had spoke with just quoted me this shop actually told me that they would need to run their own diagnostic as there were multiple parts that could kick that error. Which none of the other shops had mentioned. I very much appreciated them telling me this.

GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. HONEST AND STRAIGHT FOWARD. QUOTED THE WORK NEEDED AND COST BEFORE HAND.GOT IT DONE EFFICIENTLY AND HAD MY TRUCK DONE WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD. I was driving cross country and my starter decided to fail on me. Zia was able to take me in last-second and fix my car in a few hours. What a great assist! Staff was also super friendly and communicative on the service as well as expected finish time for my car. Really saved me on my trip and having to stay in Albuquerque a few more nights!

Communication is key for me which is why I ended I at Zia and I was pleasantly treated the whole time. My Service Advisor, Brendan, was fantastic about updating me on my car’s progress. The total was very fair, even if I hate to pay it, and they even took care of a few little things I’d mentioned were issues, at no charge. I don’t think it cost them much to do it but it definitely earned them a repeat customer. I appreciate the fast work and the friendly service, from the advisors to the techs.

The ZIa team went above and beyond to take care of me. My alternator went out on a Saturday and I needed to travel the next day and the Zia team found a way to squeeze me into their busy schedule and replace my alternator!

The staff at Zia were friendly, got me in last minute, and took care of me same day for brakes and rotors. In and out within 2 hours. Rare to find in Albuquerque. I really appreciate your team and will be back again (hopefully not soon LOL)

Brought in my 2006 chrysler 300c for a serpentine belt a pullie and a thermostat houseing. Wanted to charge me over $800 I said hell no took the car home picked up the parts my self new for $122 and it took me 20 mins to put them in. Will not be going back.

Great communication from Chuck Mitchell, once again. Thought my’98 dodge truck was running pretty good, and brought it to the shop because of a failed emissions test. After correcting issues with the transmission, O2 sensors and catalytic converter, the vehicle has much improved power and takeoff, and holds registration in BernCo. Not cheap, but better than fair.

I was referred to Zia Auto by Costco. So my expectation of great service was surpassed. Their yard has excellent protection, so your vehicle will be safe. The waiting area is very comfortable. The price for their service is right on.

Most recent visit: I took the car in for clutch repair. They did an excellent job as always. Chuck is very friendly and kept me updated with the progress. It took a week and 2 days to finish but it is worth the wait because they always do a great job. I always recommend this shop to anyone who needs trusted mechanics for car repair. I decided to return to Zia Automotive Repair because they have good ratings and do a good job. They fixed my car by replacing a part. It is working very well so far. They are expensive but I trust they know how to fix cars. Chuck was very friendly and kept me informed of the process. I would return again just need to have money saved for potential car repairs. A few weeks earlier: We took my son's car he had just bought for some minor repairs. They found the transmission was bad and recommended another shop. They did not charge us for this and that was great. A couple weeks later we took it back to get two lug nuts put on it. The studs were broken off. They charged $400. They said it took them two hours to do it. They did a good job but I think it was too expensive for what it was. Also the car had a large scratch on one of the doors it did not have when we dropped it off.

So professional and courteous. Chuck kept me appraised with explanations and estimates all along the way. Steve even gave me a ride to my car from my workplace. I have already referred three people at work. I thought an honest mechanic was an oxymoron, but Zia Auto proved me wrong!!!! They are awesome!!!

Took my car in to serviced , was ver. Helpful until unfortunately a week and a half later she died on me in the middle of the street . After they said it was good to go! Hopefully it works out this time. Will update After taking cat back in they guys got her running tight. Even after financial issues on my end they worked with me till the end! Appreciate you all!
